Psychological Assessments

Psychological testing can help enhance your understanding of your personality and cognitive functioning and often works well as an adjunct to counseling.

We are not able to provide diagnostic testing for the purposes of determining disability or recommending accommodations. Please contact the Camner Center For Academic Resources for diagnostic psycho-educational assessments. We are also not able to do evaluations for legal matters or court cases.

Testing services are free of charge for enrolled University of Miami students.

Testing appointments are usually scheduled for 2 hours at a time. The entire process usually takes 6-8 hours depending on the questions you are looking to address. The process begins with a thorough interview to determine your needs. Examiners use questionnaires, puzzles, storytelling, problem-solving, and/or writing to help answer your questions.

After all testing sessions are complete, you can expect to discuss the results and receive feedback from your examiner in 4-6 weeks.
