Tyler Delaney

Doctoral Intern

Tyler Delaney (he/him) is currently completing his pre-doctoral internship at UM’s Counseling Center, which will finalize his doctoral education. He is a Ph.D. candidate in counseling psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Tyler earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Salve Regina University, which is in his home state of Rhode Island, and his master’s degree in counseling psychology from Boston College. He has worked in various clinical settings, including an outpatient substance use treatment program, a high school, a residential program for individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder and related disorders, and most recently, several university/college counseling centers. Clinically, Tyler maintains a person-centered style that values collaboration, authenticity, sensitivity, humility, and humor. To Tyler, a therapeutic approach can only be truly holistic when it fully considers the influence of sociocultural factors on one's presenting concerns. Tyler’s clinical interests include anxiety, identity development, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief and loss, career counseling, the impostor phenomenon, and challenges with being a first-generation college student.

Jaclyn Pachicano

Doctoral Intern

Jaclyn (She/They) is a doctoral intern at the University of Miami Counseling Center and is working towards her Clinical Psychology doctoral degree at Marquette University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northwestern University. Jaclyn has experience working in community mental health, private practice, crisis services, and college settings providing individual, couples, and group therapy. In her clinical work, Jaclyn utilizes multiple modalities to meet the diverse needs of each student and draws from therapeutic orientations such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Jaclyn values a collaborative approach to therapy and maintains a multicultural and social justice lens throughout treatment. Her clinical areas of interest include working with racially/ethnically marginalized individuals and sexual and gender minorities, mood/anxiety disorders, identity development, adjustment to a new environment, and campus outreach.

Huan Quan

Doctoral Intern

Huan is a doctoral intern at the University of Miami Counseling Center and is in her final year of the Clinical-Community Psychology PhD program at Wichita State University. She is an international graduate student from China. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Wichita State University in 2020 and obtained her Kansas license as a Master Level Psychologist (LMLP) in 2021. Before starting internship at UMCC, she had clinical experiences providing individual and group therapy at various settings, including a university counseling center. In her clinical work, she utilizes an integrative approach to fit the needs of each client and draws from therapeutic orientations such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Approach, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. Her clinical areas of interest include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, career and academic concerns, relationship issues, eating and body image concerns.
