About COPE

COPE’s (Counseling Outreach Peer Education) initiative is to facilitate a connection between the University of Miami students and the Counseling Center. COPE members are a diverse group of highly motivated undergraduate students who are passionate about collegiate mental health. COPE’s goal is to create educational and interactive programming to reduce mental health stigma on campus.

Peer Educators develop and execute outreach programs that will:

  • Promote emotional well-being among the student body.
  • Raise awareness regarding college mental health stressors.
  • Provide education and resources.
  • Increase awareness among students about the services offered at the UM Counseling Center.
